Ann Arbor, Mich.— July 16, 2014 — Parros College Planning, an Ann Arbor, Mich.-based company providing resources in the college admissions process to parents and prospective college students, announces it will be hosting free, informal workshops titled Avoid the College Admissions Trap: Getting your child into their first-choice college, on July 30 and Aug. 6. The workshops will be led by Timothy C. Parros, CCPS, founder of Parros College Planning, and will share information with parents and their college-bound children on how to gain admittance to the college of their choice without paying sticker price.
“We know college admission stress is at an all-time high as competition for acceptance continues to increase along with tuition,” Parros said. “As costs continue to rise, many parents fear that even if their child gets into his or her first-choice school, they won’t be able to pay for it. This workshop will address both issues of acceptance and affordability.”
The Wed., July 30 and Wed., Aug. 6 workshops begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be hosted at the Canton Public Library located at 1200 S. Canton Center Rd., Canton 48188. Reservations are necessary; to reserve seats, contact Kim Parros at 888.668.7773 or visit www.parroscollegeplanning.com.
